Shell Lake Volunteers in the Spanish-American War

After the sinking of our 2nd Class battleship "Maine" in Havana Harbor in February of 1898, and with all the fighting and unrest in Cuba under Spanish domination, there seemed to be no alternative for Congress but to declare war on Spain on 19 April 1898.  The following is the roster of the Shell Lake, Wisconsin Volunteers to the Spanish-American War.
