OLSON, Oscar
Died -- At his home west of here (Spooner, Washburn Co., WI) 4th inst. (04 Jun 1893), Oscar OLSON, the twelve year old boy of Mr. and Mrs. Ole OLSON. Oscar was one of the brightest and best boys in the neighborhood -- good at home and good at school, and possessed of very many good qualities generally. All the neighbors as well as his parents and friends mourn him. He was buried here (Spooner, Washburn Co., WI) Tuesday according to the rites of the Swedish Lutheran Church, Rev. Benson officiating. His parents have our sympathies. -Transcribed from the Spooner Register, Spooner, Washburn Co., WI, 10 Jun 1893 ++++++++++ ORR, Robert Robert Orr, the fireman injured recently in the wreck at Comstock, died of internal injuries at Cumberland, Wednesday night. He was attened by a couple of his brothers B. of L. F. at the last moments. His mother and sister, from Minneapolis, were also present. The number of accidents and deaths occuring to railway employes demonstrate the danger of the employment, and that no branch of the train service considering the work, and attendant dangers is yet fully remunerated. -Transcribed from the Spooner Register, Spooner, Washburn Co., WI, 30 Sep 1893, page 1 ++++++++++ |
