JOHN T. BLACKBURN - As transcribed from page 71

The brothers Blackburn were born in Cincinnati, Ohio, John, the elder, in 1823.  He came to Stillwater in 1844, and has since been actively engaged in lumbering.  His home has been in Stillwater, Marine, Taylor's Falls and Shell Lake, where he now resides.

HARMON CRANDALL - As transcribed from page 125

The Crandall family were the first to settle in Osceola Prairie, in the town of Farmington.  Mr. Crandall moved to his farm in 1846, and lived there many years;  sold out and removed to Hudson, where, in laterlife, he became blind.  He had three sons born in Farmington.  In 1882 he moved to Shell Lake, Washburn county, where he died, Aug. 8, 1886.  Mrs. Crandall died May 11, 1888.
